Mixed Day
Moon void-of-course
Moon in Gemini trine Neptune
The day begins with the Moon void-of-course until 9:37 AM eastern time when it moves into the sign of Gemini. Refer to my earlier posting for the best use of Moon void intervals.
When the Moon is in Gemini communication is key and everyone is seeking information. This is a good day to make a presentation or share your ideas and see where it takes you. Inspiration comes when you least expect it; record your thoughts.

Today's influence neutral
Mon 23 Mar 2009
Neutral Day
Moon void-of-course
The Moon is considered void when she ceases to form any major applying aspect to another planet before moving into the next sign. During these time intervals things usually don't turn out as planned. As a rule of thumb "nothing of consequence" will evolve so it is best to avoid Moon void periods when planning something of importance. However routine activities are not affected. The Moon is void all day today until 5:08 PM.

Today's influence good
Fri 06 Mar 2009
Good Day
Moon in Cancer trine Uranus
Today's influence mirrors yesterday with the Moon's last aspect to Uranus. A good day to act on instinct and let the creative juices flow. The Moon is void of course at 7:30 PM tonight until 8:26 AM tomorrow morning. Moon void is a time for introspection and not action. Delay major decisions during times when the Moon is void of course.
Venus turns retrograde today at 12:17 PM and will remain so for the next six weeks. During her retrograde cycle it is not unusual to experience problems in relationships and it is not a good time for marriage.

Timing and the Moon
Electional astrology is the astrology of timing and the Moon plays the most significant role because she is responsible for setting events in motion. As the closest orbiting body to the earth, her influence is so important that two branches of astrology, Horary and Electional, use the Moon as the most significant planet. In Electional astrology we use the Moon to help determine the best time to do something.
To begin with, we have to find out the times during which the Moon is void of course. Many popular astrology magazines have a listing of void-of-course Moon periods showing the days and length of time the void is in effect. The Moon changes signs approximately every two days. The Moon is void-of-course when it ceases to form any major applying aspect to another planet before it moves into the next sign. During this time, things usually don't turn out as planned. A rule of thumb is "nothing of consequence" will evolve so it's best to avoid Moon void periods when planning something of importance. However, routine activities are usually not affected and Moon void does favor artistic or creative activities, leisurely pursuits, relaxation, meditation and the like. For the purpose of this article, we are focusing on the best time to accomplish something of importance. As a general rule, it is most desirable to begin a new project or one that requires growth after a New Moon. The two-and-a-half week period after the New Moon each month is the Moon's waxing phase. She is increasing in light, going from new to full, and anything done during this time has the best chance for growth, expansion and gain. The two-and-a-half week period after the Full Moon is the Moon's waning phase. She is decreasing in light - going from full to new - and this is the best time to consolidate, organize and complete that which you began earlier.
Because the Moon moves so quickly, she may make several aspects during the course of the day. The Moon's first applying aspect at the time you begin something describes how your action gets off the ground or the circumstances you may encounter. The Moon's last aspect before she changes signs describes the end result or eventual outcome of your action. The Moon's final aspect is by far the most important and a favorable aspect is essential if you want a positive result. There is much more to Electional astrology, however, making use of the Moon's phase, void-of-course periods and her aspects is a good place to start.
